Quick start: Official login
Always open OANDA's official login page: https://www.oanda.com/login. Typing the URL or using a trusted bookmark prevents phishing. Confirm the page shows https:// and the correct domain before entering credentials.
Step 1 — Enter credentials
Type the email associated with your account and your password (case-sensitive). Avoid copy-paste errors — watch for extra spaces at the start/end.
Step 2 — Two-factor / one-key
OANDA supports two-factor authentication and one-key mobile conveniences. If 2FA is enabled you’ll be prompted for a code from your authenticator app or a one-time push approval in the mobile app.
Step 3 — Post-login checks
Once inside, confirm the account displayed is the one you expect (especially if you manage multiple accounts). Check recent login activity and account alerts in the portal.
Step 4 — Mobile vs Web
Mobile app users may see a different flow like “Continue with one-key login”. Update the app to the latest version for smooth login behavior and compatibility.
Security best practices
Use a unique, strong password and enable 2FA. Beware of unsolicited emails asking to “verify” your credentials. When in doubt, go to the official site directly. Regularly review device access and revoke unknown sessions.
FAQ — Common login issues
Forgot password? Click Forgot password on the login page and follow the email reset link. If you don't receive the email, check spam folders and ensure you used the registered address.
Lost 2FA device? Use your saved recovery/backup codes. If those are unavailable, contact OANDA support and be ready to verify identity with documents and account details.
Account locked? Multiple failed attempts may temporarily lock access. Wait the lock window or follow instructions in the automated email from OANDA. Persistent lockouts require support assistance.
Regional or app differences? OANDA operates regionally — login flows, app features or support contacts may vary by jurisdiction. Use the regional site or support channels relevant to your account.
When to contact support
If you cannot regain access using the standard recovery flows (password reset, backup codes, or unlock emails), contact OANDA support. Provide concise account details, times of failed attempts, and proof of identity if requested — but never share passwords or 2FA codes over email or chat.
